Handy information

We’ve replaced our compendiums with an up-to-date digital version that you can refer back to even when away from your room. Listed below is everything we think you might like to know about the area and Lodge. Please let us know what we’re missing so we can keep this guide as useful as possible!

  • Need ice? We keep a small amount on hand but there is a service station across the road and toward town that has more. Milk is available there too.
  • Dan Murphie’s is also only a short walk away. Just past the lights in the middle of town.

Bowral markets – Second Saturday of each month.
Berrima markets – Last Sunday of each month.
Mittagong markets – Middle and last Saturday of each month.
Colo Vale markets – First Saturday of each month.

  • If you’re into hiking, there are a number of great walks in the area. Start from behind lake Alexandra only 500m away for a short bushwalk, drive to the Box vale track cut in the 1800’s or out to the amazing Morton national park in Bundanoon.
  • Waterfalls in the area include Fitzroy, Belmore and Carrington which all cascade into Kangaroo valley or the smaller 40 and 60ft falls in Mittagong.
  • Mittagong. Gateway to the highlands.
  • Bowral. The busy shopping hub
  • Mossvale. Good spot to explore the wineries from.
  • Berrima. Historic buildings and a great spot for lunch.
  • Robertson. Set in beautiful farm land with views to the Illawarra.
  • Bundanoon. The doorstep to the wonderful Morton National park
  • Bradman museum (cricket)
  • Sturt gallery (all sorts of art)
  • Joadja (ghost town)
  • Bundanoon glowworm tunnel
  • Corbett Gardens
  • Check-out is at 10am. Late departure can be arranged and is $10 p/hr.
  • Rooms are serviced daily before 11am unless your do not disturb sign is out.

Use the remote to turn on. Select heat or cool, then set desired temp. Please wait at least 5 minutes for the setting change to register and start blowing warm or cool. If you keep changing the settings, start your 5 minutes again.

These are very effective and in use from May until October. They can be turned down but we generally recommend a setting between 2 and 3. If turned fully off, the pipes can sometimes vibrate. All the way on is probably going to be far too warm…
